The special exhibition in Hong Kong Palace Museum showcases the amazing new archaeological discoveries at Sanxingdui in China’s Sichuan Province. From fascinating animation projections, to naked-eye 3D video of the Sanxingdui site, to 1:1 digitally reconstructed bronze altar video, all 6 multimedia exhibits together utilised new technologies to bring the stories of the ancient Shu civilisation and Sanxingdui archaeology to life. The largest installation of all is the 3.9m high 3D holographic projection, which recreates a 1:1 scale scene of the Sacred Bronze Tree, one of the iconic treasures housed in the new Sanxingdui Museum.
