“Our life is half natural and half technological. Half-and-half is good. You cannot deny that high-tech is progress. We need it for jobs. Yet if you make only high-tech, you make war. So we must have a strong human element to keep modesty and natural life.” -Nam June Paik, the father of video art.For the Microwave International Media Arts Festival 2022, exhibition design planned by WARE lies at the junction of high tech, nature and human. The huge TV installation on the grass platform is an attribution to Nam June Paik's "TV Garden", an imagined landscape in the future where technology is an integral part of the natural world. |
